Denver ComicCon was a complete blast! Our friends Marna & Steve joined us and we swept the craftsmanship awards. Marna took a well-deserved 1st place for her two (yes, two) costumes she made from Final Fantasy X. What next? I think my lovely wife and I are going to do costumes from Game of Thrones. Alas, we aren't good matches for a couple-pair, so we're likely doing costumes from different cultures/houses. Stay tuned! If you have any questions about the stillsuit, how it's made etc. I'm happy to talk about it! Keep it shiny!

The Stillsuit nears completion. It's been five months on the occasional day I can go outside and glue. The fumes are too dangerous and flammable inside. Alas! Colorado's late snowstorms nearly blew the schedule. But the Maker has provided. Bless his water. See y'all at Denver ComicCon!

My daughter got an iPad 1 for christmas, spoiled I know! The take-home lesson for me is, wow, it's fun to sketch and noodle around with paint programs on it! Will it replace my traditional work? No. BUT, it's a great tool to explore a lot of ideas quickly, and it's a medium in its own right. I started using MacPaint way back in the early 90's, and have seldom used digital art since. So, I'm an infant in this medium. Be gentle with me. That said, I've moved a lot of my time into more costume and scultural work, so Ill be posting less 2D stuff at times.  Coming up: a Fremen stillsuit.
